About Dr. Tatyana Uvatov
Dr. Uvatov, board certified by the American Board of Multiple Specialties in Podiatry, has been practicing medicine for over 26 years. She graduated from Mordovian State University 'N. P. Ogarev' Medical Faculty in Russia and practiced as a medical doctor in her home country. After moving to the United States, she earned her Doctor of Podiatric Medicine degree from New York College of Podiatric Medicine and completed her surgical residency at St. Vincent Catholic Medical Center in Queens, NY. Following her postgraduate training, Dr. Uvatov worked as an attending physician in the Podiatry Clinic at Coney Island Hospital in Brooklyn and the Diabetic Clinic at Richmond University Medical Center in Staten Island. In 2008, she established her private practice in Brooklyn and Staten Island. Dr. Uvatov speaks both Russian and English and specializes in treating diseases of the skin, nails, soft tissue, bones, and joints of the foot and ankle, as well as walking problems in children and adults. She also offers diabetic foot care, a diabetic shoe program, and custom orthotics for patients of all ages, which can be ordered in the office.
