What should a new client know about working with you?

Rule #1: You Have to Like Your Psychiatric Provider Research consistently shows that the relationship between a psychiatric provider and their client is the most crucial element for successful treatment, even beyond specific interventions or techniques. It can take a few sessions to know if we’re a good fit, but to help you decide, here’s some insight into my approach and what it’s like to work with me. My Approach I provide comprehensive psychiatric care tailored to your unique needs. My focus is on effective medication management and symptom relief, working together to find the right strategies to support your mental health goals. I believe in a holistic approach, exploring how physical health, lifestyle, and other factors interact with your mental well-being. This might include nutritional guidance, mindfulness practices, and lifestyle changes to support your overall treatment plan. My style is direct, honest, and collaborative. I prioritize understanding you as a whole person, not just your symptoms, and I am committed to providing feedback and recommendations rooted in evidence-based practices. You can count on me to be forthright and supportive as we work to achieve meaningful improvements in your quality of life.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

I begin with a 75-minute initial visit to comprehensively understand your history, goals, and treatment needs. Follow-up sessions are either 25 or 50 minutes, depending on what feels right for you and what we aim to address during the appointment. For most patients, I recommend meeting every two weeks to monitor progress and make any adjustments needed. Once a stable and effective plan is established, appointments can be spaced out every 6-8 weeks.
