I’m Dr. Taylor Wand, a board-certified family medicine physician and HIV specialist and the founder of Wand Health, a direct primary care practice in San Diego. I created Wand Health because I believe healthcare works best when patients have a doctor who truly knows them and has the time to listen. My approach is personal, thorough, and collaborative. I want to understand not only your medical history, but also your goals, lifestyle, relationships, mental health, and the other factors that shape your overall well-being. I provide comprehensive primary care for everybody, preventive care, LGBTQ+ care, HIV care, PrEP and PEP, sexual health, and management of acute and chronic medical conditions. I have a particular passion for creating a welcoming, judgment-free environment where patients feel comfortable discussing every aspect of their health. Wand Health is a direct primary care practice. The membership is not billed through insurance and allows us to have significantly longer appointments and patients can text or call me directly when questions or concerns come up. There is also usually same or next day appointments available so no more going to urgent care, you see your doctor. Instead of rushed visits, my goal is to build a long-term relationship and help you make thoughtful, informed decisions about your health.
