Teineicia Knights received her Associate degree in Nursing from Borough of Manhattan Community College, her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the City University of New York School of Professional Studies, and her Master of Science in Nursing with PMHNP certification from Adelphi University. She is currently enrolled in a Doctorate program at Frontier University.
Born on the island of Trinidad, Teineicia came to New York at the age of 12. The resilience she gained from these experiences has shaped her professional interests and helped sustain her throughout her career. She was initially drawn to the psychiatry field after witnessing mental health concerns go unaddressed due to stigma. She continues working in the field because she enjoys seeing clients improve. Her treatment methods emphasize care that is non-judgmental, evidence-based, and individualized.
When she isn’t working, Teineicia enjoys practicing yoga, watching movies, and attending comedy shows.
