Melissa Glenn, LCSW

Psychotherapist
NY
Hello, my name is Melissa, and I believe that the interactions we have can have a lasting impact on someone's life. Therefore, I strive to engage with people in a positive, nonjudgmental, empathetic, and understanding manner. I have clinical experience collaborating with individuals in multiple settings, such as outpatient treatment, where substance use disorders, behavioral issues, and mental health were addressed. In this capacity, I also provided caregiver support, whether it be to a significant other, parent, or child. Additionally, I have clinical experience working in a medical capacity, providing support to individuals and their families who are adjusting to, or having difficulty adjusting to, medical diagnoses. Throughout my career, I have worked in these capacities and have also supported foster parents, as well as parents whose children were placed into foster care. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with a Master's in Social Work from Fordham University. I hold the following certifications: DASA Certification, Identification & Reporting of Child Abuse and Maltreatment Certification, School Violence Prevention and Intervention Certification, Mental Health First Aid, Trauma-Informed Care, CASAC-T, CTMH pending, and CCATP pending.
