Teresa Bethany, LMFT

Marriage and Family Therapist
TX
For the past 10 years, I have worked with populations affected by partner violence, addiction recovery, survivors of assault and sexual harassment, and generational trauma. Holding a Master’s in Marriage and Family Therapy from St. Mary’s University and a Master’s in Education and Human Development from Texas State University, I approach my work through a trauma-informed lens that allows me to provide compassionate care. My CBT-aligned approach helps clients identify obstacles holding them back from growth and change, supporting their journey toward healing and resilience.

What should a new client know about working with you?

Everyone deserves to feel connected, understood, and satisfied in their relationships. As an LMFT, I can also help you to explore family of origin experiences alongside current relational patterns in order to help you better develop emotional management tools that can help you feel more in control and capable of healthy and assertive communication as well.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

Aligned with CBT and collaborative talk therapy models, my role is to help you navigate that road and to create a safe place to process the changes that await you there. During our time together, I promise to meet you with empathy and understanding so that you can feel empowered to incorporate necessary tools to conquer whatever lies ahead!
