About Dr. Teresa Marie Barrett Dower
Dr. Teresa Marie Barrett began her chiropractic career in Baltimore, Maryland, over 20 years ago and has been at BARRETT FAMILY CHIROPRACTIC since 1997. Raised in a Navy family, she traveled frequently as a child. While in college, she worked in a major metropolitan hospital and decided to focus her career on helping people maintain good health and live pain-free. Chiropractic seemed a natural fit.
Dr. Barrett received her Bachelor of Science degree from Fairfield University in Connecticut, majoring in Biology/Pre-Med with a double minor in Chemistry and Psychology. She earned her Doctor of Chiropractic degree from Northeast College of Health Sciences before settling in Baltimore and entering private practice. Dr. Barrett is certified by the National Board of Chiropractic Examiners and licensed in Maryland as a Doctor of Chiropractic with Physical Therapy privileges. She enjoys providing wellness care for children and adults and has extensive experience treating traumatic injury patients.
At home, Dr. Barrett loves spending time with her husband, their two young children, and the family’s pets. She also enjoys cooking, traveling, swimming, reading, and occasionally performs as a vocalist in local benefit events.

Dr. Barrett has an excellent bedside manor. She a great listener and appears to be very knowledgeable in what she does. She left me looking forward to her plan of treatment for me and very hopeful regarding its effectiveness.

After experiencing severe pain from sciatica on my right side, I made an appointment with Barrett Family Practice. Dr. Barrett Dower is knowledgeable, warm, and caring. She is also a great listener. She quickly pinpointed the problem and devised a treatment plan. My inflammation is going away and the pain has lessened considerably. I strongly recommend Dr. Barrett Dower to anyone in need of a chiropractor!

The office was near, orderly, and clean. There is ample parking and I found the location quickly. Dr. Dower was very friendly. She listened to my concerns and immediately understood and recommended treatment options. She gave me useful advice and started treatment. She has a warm, compassion demeanor and I get comfortable immediately. Receptionist was friendly and answered all my questions quickly and accurately. I found Dr. Dower’s office online from google and am very impressed. I would recommend her to anyone suffering from chiropractic issues

It was my first visit with her. And I can say I was satisfied. She is very knowledgeable and listens to all your problems, and describe you what the problems are with the help of pictures. And she then explains how we're gonna further process with the treatment. I'm very hopeful that soon I can feel like normal.

I always look forward to my Chiropractor appointments. The atmosphere is friendly and relaxing. No matter what condition I'm in when I enter, I'm 100% better when I leave. Dr. Barret takes her time when treating me, listening to my issues and explaining things in simple terms that help me to better understand my body. Dr. Barret & her staff are always accomodating.
