Dr. Terre’s care extends for many years after the surgical treatment is over for ongoing support and to ensure the best possible outcome long term. Dr. Terre received a bachelor’s degree from Drake University and then her medical degree from Meharry Medical College in Nashville, Tennessee where she graduated with honors. From there she trained in general surgery at the University of Louisville under Dr. Hiram C Polk, Jr. During her matriculation at the U. of Louisville, Dr. Quinn had a year of bench research that resulted in publication in a peer reviewed journal. Her training in breast surgical oncology took place here in Dallas at Baylor University – the first breast surgical oncology fellowship in the country. Dr. Terre has contributed to a large number of publications regarding the University of Louisville’s Sentinel Node Registry – an innovation that revolutionized the way surgeons evaluate lymph nodes during surgery. She has been selected in D Magazine, Dallas, and Collin County Best Doctor Breast Surgical Oncology for many years. She has two adult sons, both computer science engineers. In her free time, Dr. Terre enjoys tennis, tap dance and violin. She also participates in the theatrical shows of the Spectacular Senior Follies.
