Dr. Terri Bowland, DO, FACOFP is a licensed and fully trained Family Medicine Specialist with 10 years of experience offering aesthetic services and direct primary care in Idaho Springs, CO. Dr. Bowland comes from a long lineage of miners and was raised here in Idaho Springs. Dr. Terri graduated from Clear Creek High School and went on to study Biology at the University of Denver and then Integrative Biology at the University of California at Berkeley. She earned her medical degree from the Western University of Health Sciences, and received advanced training at St. Elizabeth's Hospital in Utica, NY, before completing her residency at Southampton Hospital in Southampton, NY. Upon returning to her native home in Idaho Springs, Dr. Terri spent many years providing healthcare to the underserved. Her patients included those who were uninsured or underinsured, from rural areas, transient farmworkers, incarcerated patients, nursing homes, and individuals accessing medical care through The Indian Health Service. Dr. Terri has served as Medical Director in multiple healthcare facilities. Her work with these populations bolstered her passion for the patient-doctor relationship and solidified for her the importance of providing healthcare that's affordable and accessible to all. Enlightened DPC was borne out of Dr. Terri's passion for serving patients in the Clear Creek County area.
