About Tess Barnes

I love all the variety and experiences my career has brought me, starting out as a staff nurse on the orthopedic floor at Hoag Hospital, Newport Beach, CA. I am so grateful to have been given the opportunity to become a Family Nurse Practitioner many years later, earning my Master's in Family Health Nursing from Grand Canyon University with the help and encouragement of my father. I truly love working for my patients!
I have been a Primary Care Provider in Prescott for 9 years. Prior to becoming an FNP, I worked as an RN in the hospital setting for 17 years, including orthopedics, neuro-surgical, oncology/palliative care, and PCU. I earned my Bachelor's degree from the University of Iowa.
I love writing songs and playing my baritone ukulele!
