Getting to know Tessa Zompanis

My style is warm, encouraging, and empowering, collaborating with clients while tailoring my approach to each person’s unique set of needs. Together, we will develop a comprehensive treatment plan that may involve medications, psychotherapy, or both.
I firmly believe that while difficult circumstances present a challenge, it is never too late to choose to move forward and make changes that can result in an improved quality of life and profound personal growth. I practice a client-centered, humanist approach focusing on the whole individual.
By providing treatment that is interactive and direct, where I work together with my patients and other health professionals—from comprehensive diagnostic evaluation to cooperative treatment planning—I find patients are able to move beyond just symptom management and achieve enjoyment and full engagement with their life.
I hold a Master’s degree in Psychiatric-Mental Health Nursing from City University of New York, Hunter College, and a Bachelor’s degree from New York University.
