About Thea Boatswain

Thea Boatswain is the Owner of Elan Nutrition Associates. She started Elan as a fitness service but quickly expanded into nutrition counseling after many of her clients struggled with their eating habits. She obtained her first degrees in Agricultural Science from Tennessee State University in 2009 and 2011. She then pursued her degrees in Dietetics, earning a Bachelor's from The University of Alabama in 2018 and a Master's in Dietetics from Simmons University in 2021. She also holds a personal training certification from the National Academy of Sports Medicine. While Thea specializes in sports nutrition for endurance athletes, she is well versed in working with clients who need other nutrition services, including pre/postpartum care and weight management. She also offers Medical Nutrition Therapy for chronic conditions such as GI/gut health, diabetes, and hypertension.
