Getting to know Thelma Ozigbu
Feeling understood can be the first step toward feeling better. I am a psychiatric nurse practitioner with a doctorate in nursing who works with adults living with depression, anxiety, PTSD, bipolar disorder, and other mood and personality-related challenges. My background spans telehealth, behavioral health, and medical nursing, and patients describe me as calm, easy to talk to, and genuinely present. In our visits I listen closely, ask thoughtful questions, and partner with you to design treatment that fits your needs, values, and day to day life.
What should a new client know about working with you?
In a first appointment, I start by getting to know you, your history, and what has and has not helped so far. We review symptoms, stressors, and supports, then discuss options like medication, therapy, and coping skills. I explain benefits, side effects, and timelines in plain language so we can choose a plan together and adjust it over time.
What is your typical process for working with clients?
Reaching out is a big step, and you do not have to do this alone. I am currently accepting new adult patients, with appointments available within the week. If you want a calm, collaborative partner who listens deeply and uses up to date care to support your goals, I would be honored to work with you.
