Ted Hak, MD has had a long relationship with the city of Santa Monica. He has lived in and practiced medicine in Santa Monica since 1980. After serving as the Medical Director of an urgent care center for two years, Dr. Hak co-founded Santa Monica Family Physicians in 1985. The group had offices in Santa Monica for over 25 years before affiliating with UCLA. Many of the group reunited again as Santa Monica Family Physicians in 2017, when it joined Providence Medical Institute and the Saint John's Health Center. Dr. Hak focuses on wellness, and he has not missed a day of work due to illness for over two decades. Dr. Hak MD completed his medical schooling at the University of Pennsylvania and did his residency at UCLA Santa Monica.
