She has actual experience in neurology from when she was a nurse at two major Chicago hospitals and then a third out west.
She took down my history without applying too much bias to it so I was able to answer a question and leave it at that.
And she kept my meds the same ("why fix what's not broken?" she said) and explained things about my medications that no one else bothered explaining to me (I have been on these medications since October.)
Overall, a truly wonderful experience and I look forward to continuing to entrust my care to her. ”

Greetings! My name is Dr. Theresa Towle. I have decades of experience providing holistic care to help heal hurt, process trauma, build resilience, and find balance. As a dual-certified family and psychiatric mental-health nurse practitioner, I use evidence-based techniques to treat mind and body, including addressing the role of the gut-brain axis in anxiety, depression, trauma, attention issues, weight loss, and a host of other concerns. I am dedicated to working with you to develop a holistic approach to care. I earned my Doctor of Nursing Practice from Rush University. I hold a Post-Master's Certificate in Psychiatric and Mental Health Nursing from the University of Saint Francis, a Master's in Family Nursing from Saint Xavier University, and a Bachelor's degree from Indiana University. In addition to clinical practice, I often teach at Loyola University Chicago as an adjunct professor. Are you feeling emotionally off balance? Overwhelmed? Anxious? My vast experience has taught me that emotional, spiritual, and mental health are key to physical well-being, emotional balance, and overall life satisfaction. Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.
