About Dr. Thomas McMeekin

Board-certified in Dermatology and Internal Medicine, Dr. McMeekin received his Bachelor of Arts with Distinction at Stanford University and his Doctor of Medicine with honors from the University of Rochester Medical School. Dr. McMeekin is a diplomat of the American Board of Dermatology, the American Board of Internal Medicine and the National Board of Medical Examiners. He comes to Academic Alliance in Dermatology from the Genesee Valley Dermatology Centre in Rochester, NY. He served an Internal Medicine Internship at the Harvard University Beth Israel Hospital in Boston, MA and completed residencies in Dermatology at Harvard University and in Medicine at the University of Rochester. Dr. McMeekin is a Clinical Professor of Dermatology, Internal Medicine and Pediatrics at the University of Rochester. He is a nationally and internationally recognized speaker on lasers and is a twice recipient of the Brian Flanagan Teaching award in Dermatology. Dr. McMeekin teaches several laser courses, has published 21 articles and one chapter on Laser Therapy.
