“Dr. Melillo was so kind and really put me at ease; I was very nervous and in a lot of pain from multiple ingrown toenails. He explained what was occurring and it would heal with or without treatment and then was able to do a procedure right there to correct the issue. The medical assistant who came in to check my numbing and finish setup was super nice as well; everyone helped me feel comfortable when I was really anxious! I'll be back for my checkup :)”

About Dr. Thomas Melillo
Dr. Melillo graduated with honors from Fairfield University and from the Ohio College of Podiatric Medicine and completed a comprehensive podiatric medical and surgical residency program at St. Mary’s Medical Center in San Francisco. He is active in the American Podiatric Medical Association. He is also the past president of the Oregon Podiatric Medical Association, serving from 2010-2014, and has served on the Executive Board for many years.
Dr. Melillo is dedicated to continuing his medical training through various educational seminars. He is an attending surgeon for the Legacy/Kaiser Portland Hospital’s Podiatric Surgical Residency Program and is board certified in foot surgery and reconstructive rearfoot and ankle surgery. Dr. Melillo has been voted “Top Doc” by Portland Monthly in the specialty of podiatry for 2014. Clinical areas of interest include sports medicine and working with children.
Music and Wine are two of his passions - Dr. Melillo is the President of Olea Records, an independent record label based in Portland and is also on the board of NorthWest Music Experience, a non-profit organization geared towards music and education. He also runs a small family vineyard, producing Pinot Noir in the Willamette Valley. He has 6 wonderful children and a lovable, energetic Golden Retriever. He also enjoys reading (and will often ask our patients for suggestions on what to read next), cycling, physical fitness, and food.

Dr. Melillo has consistently been a wonderful physician to me who has listened and problem solved with me to alleviate at times very painful issues with my foot. He never makes me feel, rushed and always discusses my concerns with me prior to treatment. His staff is always very friendly and helpful, as well. I have recommended several family members and friends to him, and they have all been equally pleased as well.

Made a same day appointment for a painful, inflamed ingrown toenail. Dr Melillo recommend in office ingrown toenail procedure performed under local anesthesia. Procedure quick and relatively painless. Took a couple doses of OTC analgesics at home and was pain free in about 8 hrs. Assistant Alexandra also thorough & professional. Highly recommend.

Dr. Melillo is a great doctor. I highly recommend him and have to family and friends. First, the office experience is great. His front office and PAs are excellent. Professional and efficient. Dr Melillo is simply awesome. He listens carefully and explains things thoroughly. He educates me which I really appreciate too. His medical knowledge and care are top notch. He also has a very friendly manner that is sincere and puts me at ease. often I have experienced that doctors are in such a rush that they don't listen and don't explain. Dr.Melillo is a clear exception. He should train doctors on doctor:patient interaction. I trust Dr Melillo completely.
