About Thomas Pino

This provider's Primary Supervising Physician is Pedro Vieira Thomas Pino was born in Rutherford, New Jersey and moved to Cape Coral, Florida in 1989. He subsequently graduated from Florida State University with a degree in Biology. Thomas then embarked upon a career in aviation, first as a commercial pilot, then as a FAA certified flight instructor. He continued his flight instruction duties along with teaching science at his Alma Mater, Bishop Verot Catholic High School. After several years of teaching, Thomas returned to school to pursue a career in medicine. He graduated with highest honors from Nova Southeastern University with a Masters in Medical Science. During his rotations, he encountered a variety of medical specialties. He has chosen to specialize in dermatology because he enjoys the visual aspect of diagnosis and management of skin disorders. His expert hand/eye coordination skills developed as a pilot enables him to master the surgical aspects of dermatology. When not practicing as a Physician Assistant, Thomas is very active in volunteering his time with the Boy Scouts of America. He enjoys camping, fishing and hiking with his wife and two boys.
