What should a new client know about working with you?

A new client should know that working with me means being met with warmth, encouragement, and genuine respect for who you are and where you are in your journey. I take a person-centered approach and believe deeply in each person’s capacity for growth, self-understanding, and meaningful change. Therapy with me is a space where you can be your authentic self and explore your thoughts, emotions, and experiences without judgment. I am especially mindful of how culture, identity, and lived experience shape the way we move through the world. I strive to meet clients where they are and understand life from their perspective, particularly for individuals with marginalized identities or those who may be new to therapy. My goal is to help you manage distressing symptoms while also supporting you in living more fully in line with your values and developing a healthier relationship with yourself.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

My process is collaborative, flexible, and tailored to each individual. We begin by exploring what brings you to therapy, your personal history, and what you hope to gain from our work together. I take time to understand your unique life experiences, identities, and current challenges, whether related to life transitions, relationships, career stress, or personal growth. From there, we work together to clarify values and identify goals that feel meaningful and achievable. I integrate person-centered therapy with evidence-based approaches such as ACT, CBT, and solution-focused techniques, depending on your needs and preferences. Throughout therapy, we focus on building insight, developing practical coping strategies, and creating sustainable changes that support your well-being both inside and outside the therapy space.
