About Thomas Sittig
I grew up in Baltic, South Dakota just outside of Sioux Falls, SD. I attended Augustana University where I earned my Bachelor of Science in Nursing. I began my nursing career in Sioux Falls in a cardiac intensive care unit. After about two years of working there, I began my long stint of travel nursing. Over the next 5 years, I was a travel nurse in North Carolina, Florida, Colorado, Washington, and California on nursing units ranging from MICU, to ER, to Oncology ICU. After settling in Denver, I worked on a bone marrow transplant ICU while finishing up my Master of Science in Nursing with an FNP focus through Maryville University.
When I started my nursing career, I knew I was always going to back to school to get my MSN to become a nurse practitioner. I am glad I was a nurse for seven years before becoming an NP. I have always loved bed side nursing because I really got to know the patients I cared for personally, and I was able to develop a positive and enjoyable relationship with them especially on the bone marrow transplant floor.
My wife and I are growing our little family with welcoming our first child in October of 2024. Outside of working, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, hiking, golfing, and cheering on the Denver Nuggets and Denver Broncos.

My family and I recently moved here and I was looking for a new primary doctor. I was out of my medications I take daily so I needed to be seen rather quickly. I booked an appointment for the same day and went just an hour later! I was greeted by smiling staff who were friendly and super helpful. The nurse was great and really tried to form a genuine connection with me. The provider was friendly and understanding and I was able to voice all my concerns and didn’t feel rushed or uncomfortable like I normally do with new doctors. He even did an impromptu ekg as my heart rate meds hadn’t kicked in yet so my HR was very elevated. I would 100% recommend this office and provider to my friends and family. If you’re looking for a new doctor definitely give this office a try.

I was able to book a new patient appointment super quickly. I booked it on a Friday for the next Monday. The staff were all super nice and willing to listen. Tom was fantastic. I had a bad taste in my mouth from my previous NP annual visit where I was consistently put down during the appointment by the NP, but the entire staff eliminated my fears instantly. They were all positive, friendly, and motivating. Tom listened to all my fears and concerns and referred me to the specialists that could assist me. I’ve never been to a practitioner that was so clear and forward with everything that was happening to and requested of me. It was a great visit.

I visited OnPoint Internal Medicine at Broomfield for the first time, and honestly, I was really impressed. The place was super clean and well-organized, and the staff were genuinely kind and welcoming. They took great care of me and made the whole process smooth and comfortable. What stood out the most was how attentive and friendly everyone was, from the front desk to the medical team. I definitely plan on going back. It’s not often you find a medical office that makes you feel that comfortable!

The front office staff was extremely courteous, welcoming, knowledgeable, and had great energy. It’s been awhile since I’ve been to a practice where I have felt at ease immediately.
Tom has a calm demeanor and it took a few minutes before he warmed up to me but it’s also our first meeting so awkward moments are to be expected. I’m happy to have found an internal medicine practice and I really enjoyed being seen by Tom on my first visit.
