Tiffani Marie Ordonez is a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner in California who has been practicing since 2016. Before working in healthcare, she received an art practice and art history degree from the University of California, Berkeley and completed a year of academic training in marriage and family therapy with a concentration in art therapy at Notre Dame de Namur. She received an accelerated BSN degree at Samuel Merritt University and worked for two years as an ICU registered nurse before completing her MSN degree in from the University of California, San Francisco.
As a psychiatric provider with bedside nursing experience, Tiffani strives to create an environment of mutual trust and collaboration. She works from a biopsychosocial understanding of health and her treatment modalities are determined by individual patient needs. Her modalities include but are not limited to brief supportive therapy, motivational interviewing, and a review of non-pharmacological interventions which appreciate both Western and Eastern understandings of well-being. Tiffani assesses and treats children, adolescents, adults, and geriatric populations with mental and behavioral health disorders. Her experience includes medication management for disorders involving mood (depression, bipolar spectrum, seasonal affective, and postpartum), anxiety (general, panic, obsessive-compulsive, post-traumatic stress, and phobias), sleep, adjustment, conduct, attention deficit and hyperactivity, personality, substance use, schizophrenia, and dementia. Currently Tiffani is open only to patients requiring medication management. She does not provide stand-alone therapy services.
In her spare time, Tiffani enjoys painting, dancing, gardening, and spending time with her nephew, niece, dog, and cat.
