Family Psychiatric & Mental Health Nurse Practitioner
MA
I’m Dr. Timarra Warren, a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) with a Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) degree, and the founder of a virtual mental health practice for women and mothers. My ideal client is a high-achieving woman or mother who looks like she has it all together, but inside, she’s overwhelmed, anxious, and emotionally drained. She’s constantly caring for others while silently struggling with burnout, stress, or depression. She wants to feel calm, set healthy boundaries, and reconnect with herself. She needs a safe, judgment-free space where she can breathe, be heard, and start healing. I help women, especially mothers, manage anxiety, depression, and burnout through compassionate care. I offer virtual medication management, therapy, and support to help you heal, set boundaries, and restore your peace, mind, body, and spirit. If you’re feeling overwhelmed, anxious, or like you've lost yourself in the chaos of daily life, I see you. You don’t have to navigate it alone. I’m here to listen, support, and help you find your way back to peace. When you're ready, I invite you to reach out.

What should a new client know about working with you?

I take a warm, affirming, and holistic approach to mental health care. My goal is to create a safe space where you feel heard, supported, and empowered to make meaningful changes. Sessions are collaborative; we’ll work together to understand your challenges, build coping strategies, and promote emotional wellness at a pace that feels right for you. I tailor treatment plans to your unique needs using evidence-based practices, including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), mindfulness, and solution-focused techniques. I’m here to help you navigate mood challenges, anxiety, burnout, relationship stress, and more, with compassion and real-life strategies you can use between sessions.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

During your first session, we’ll spend time getting to know each other. I’ll ask questions about your mental health history, current symptoms, lifestyle, and goals so I can get a full picture of what’s going on. This helps guide an accurate diagnosis and create a personalized treatment plan tailored to your needs. Follow-up sessions are usually 20–30 minutes and focus on how you're feeling, how medications (if prescribed) are working, and any challenges you're facing. I monitor your progress, adjust your treatment as needed, and support you with practical tools to manage symptoms. While I do offer supportive talk therapy during sessions, my primary role is psychiatric evaluation, diagnosis, and medication management. If more structured therapy is needed, I can coordinate with a therapist or refer you to one. My approach is warm, empowering, and collaborative. You are always an active partner in your care.
