About Tina Lafemina

Tina has been a pediatric physician assistant for over twenty years. A native Long Islander, she began her career in medicine as a volunteer EMT at Sayville Community Ambulance. While she loved the thrill of emergency medicine, she always knew she wanted to care for children. For Tina, there is nothing more special than making a difference in the life of a child. She has always taken a calm and caring approach to her patients, understanding that it's not always easy for a child to undergo treatment when they're nervous or not feeling well. Tina places great emphasis on ensuring her families are comfortable with their treatment plan and, most importantly, that they feel she has listened to and heard them. She strives to make sure her patients never feel rushed or afraid to ask questions. Tina looks forward to meeting many more families and making a memorable impact on their lives.
