What should a new client know about working with you?

Patients working with me can expect a compassionate, supportive, and collaborative approach. I believe mental health treatment works best when patients feel comfortable being honest and actively involved in their care. My goal is to create a safe, nonjudgmental space while also helping patients challenge patterns that may be holding them back. I take time to truly listen, understand each patient’s unique experiences, and develop individualized treatment plans that may include medication management, therapeutic support, coping skills, and lifestyle recommendations. I value open communication and want patients to feel empowered, educated, and hopeful throughout their treatment journey.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

During an initial visit, I take time to get a full understanding of each patient’s symptoms, history, stressors, past treatments, medical background, and goals for care. Together, we create an individualized treatment plan that may include medication management, supportive therapy, coping strategies, and lifestyle recommendations. Follow-up visits focus on monitoring progress, discussing any concerns or side effects, adjusting medications when needed, and working through challenges that may be impacting mental health. While my primary focus is medication management, I also incorporate therapeutic techniques, supportive counseling, and motivational interviewing into sessions to help patients feel supported and engaged in their treatment.
