“I have been in therapy and mental health care for nearly 50 years. I have had numerous therapists and psychiatrists over the years. I found for the most part psychiatrists simply wanted to write prescription and not delve into the underlying causes. I encountered therapists who understood the issues but not necessarily embracing that certain conditions simply required medication as part of the solution. Tony is the first professional I have encountered that I have felt takes his work personally. He is a medical professional and therapist rolled into one that cares and empathizes. He talks things out and is never in a rush. He provides "realistic" guidance, which sometimes is hard to hear but is on point and useful. As a result of his efforts I am a much better person today. I would highly recommend Tony to anyone in need.”

I feel better than 29 years of my life . I didn’t really know my whole life I need a psychiatrist. Until like 3-4 months taking the pills . I left so better . I’m going though generational trauma. My Mom went though not know her father she puts me though what she’s been through . She really never continues to seek help for what she’s going though but I did . I’m try to better my life by getting help when I need it . Say to myself it’s okay to seek help when I need it . I’m no longer experience anxiety . I feel really normal and alive . Better than I ever left in my life . I use to cry ever other night but now thing so much easy to cop with what I’m going though . Sometimes it hard to know I would never know my real dad it use to drive me crazy every day over think and crying but now when I do think about times like that my life I don’t cry I’m okay . I thank god for my psychiatrist he great listener he’s funny down to earth. Just ever willing to listen he’s amazing.

It was a very cold interaction he asked me why I wanted medication I told him the hard time I was going through he cut me off after 2 minutes saying we only have 30 minutes (we ended up having 5 minutes left). Got right to business and when he was asking family questions after I just mentioned my dad passed recently he's like so mom’s alive, dad’s dead. Like what a way to say it lol. Very strange. Also my bmi is 31 and its supposed to be 25 apparently and he's like “lets get that down” like i’m aware I work out and eat well BMI isn’t always just fat. Also I’ve been diagnosed with ADHD and he asked me no questions about me currently and was like doesn't seem like you have it based on the questions I just asked. Like you just asked me about my age from 3-9. Just an uncomfortable, cold, dismissive experience.

Amazing initial call! I’m very particular & let’s just say our first video call went better than expected. Great personality & did well to get to know me. I would recommend.

I avoided all mental healthcare for a decade and held in immense traumas that I dealt with myself. After 10 years, I almost didn’t make the call today. But I’m so grateful I did. For the first time ever, I felt like a human. Dr. Orafunam made me feel safe and validated. I expected to be fully shut out today, and it ended up the complete opposite. I’m extremely thankful I made the jump & that I’ve found him. It’s my time to start to heal, I hope. I never thought I’d be able to say that.
