“She is a wonderful doctor who took a lot of time with both my husband and I. She thoroughly listened to my complicated medical history and thoughtfully suggested some options for treatment. She placed referrals for specialists for me right away. The offices she referred me to called me immediately, one even called while i was still in her office for the appt!

About Dr. Tory Miksiewicz
Philosophy of Care
I believe that my patients are my best teachers, and it is my duty to learn something from every patient I see. I am also very passionate about preventative care.
Why I Entered Medicine
From a young age, I was always interested in math and science. In college at Pennsylvania State University, I gained exposure to the medical field through extensive volunteer work with the American Red Cross and Penn State Dance Marathon. I earned my Doctor of Medicine from Penn State and completed my residency in Family Medicine at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center. In medical school, I decided on family medicine after realizing I wanted to care for people throughout their lives and develop strong doctor-patient relationships.
Community and Charity Involvement
I am new to the area and looking to get involved with the community. Previously, I was involved with the Blair County Rotary Club and the American Red Cross.
Personal Interests
I enjoy running, hiking, and yoga for physical activity. My husband and I enjoy traveling and learning to cook new healthy recipes together. I am a big Penn State football fan as well.

Dr Miksiewicz is wonderful. The staff are kind and efficient. Most times when we go to the Dr you are in and out of the room in 2 minutes.. and you feel like what you have said wasn't really heard.
