Tracee Lucas is a Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner in Texas with more than 20 years of experience. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Nursing at William Carey University and a Master of Science in Psychiatric Nursing at the University of Texas, San Antonio. Tracee believes that healing is very individually based; thus, no two people require the same treatment. She feels the mind, body, and soul work in conjunction for healing. In partnership with her clients, Tracee will not only explore medication regimens to work toward their goals but also changes in lifestyle as well as counseling. In her free time, Tracee enjoys reading, exercising, traveling, watching sports, and spending quality time with friends and family. She also enjoys coaching and mentoring teens and young adults.*

I am documenting a highly unprofessional interaction during my initial psychiatric appointment. The provider Tracee Lucas was approximately 20 minutes late. Upon first contact, her tone was immediately hostile and dismissive. She made inappropriate comments regarding my height which was irrelevant to the purpose of the visit and inappropriate in a clinical setting.
Due to the nature of her remarks and overall demeanor, I have serious concerns regarding potential preconceived bias, including bias related to my gender identity. I terminated the appointment within approximately 30 seconds due to the hostile and unprofessional environment.
This matter will be formally reported to the Texas Medical Board, the Texas Health and Human Services Commission, and the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services Office for Civil Rights for review.

Very happy with Tracee Lucas she was able to help solidify what I believed and kept studying about myself. When I went to my personal doctor I thought they were going to lock me away acting as if I wad crazy. Tracee listened to me and laid everything out piece by piece. Making me feel understood.

My initial appointment started rocky due to technology issues. I waited 26 minutes before I was seen. Once I called, we figured out the issue and I was seen. I like Tracee Lucas and hope I continue to have a great experience.
