Getting to know Traci Page

My ideal client is someone who is struggling with emotional or relational difficulties and is ready to take the steps needed for healing and growth. They could also be navigating addiction or facing challenges related to parenting or life transitions. Ultimately, my ideal client is open to growth and ready to engage in the therapeutic process, even if it feels daunting at first. They may not have all the answers, but they are committed to exploring their challenges and working toward their goals in a safe, supportive space. With a Master's in Marriage and Family Therapy from Phillips Graduate Institute and a Certificate in Play Therapy from UC San Diego Extended Studies, I am equipped to support clients through a variety of issues with empathy and expertise.

What should a new client know about working with you?

My therapeutic approach is rooted in CBT and Solution-Focused Therapy, which allows me to tailor interventions to meet the unique needs of the client. I work with clients of all ages to address a wide range of concerns, including emotional regulation, relationship dynamics, personal growth, and behavioral challenges. I invite you to reach out and start a conversation. Whether through a simple question or scheduling your first session, I’m here to support you and help you find your way forward. Healing is possible, and I’m here to help you get there, at your own pace.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

When working with clients, I aim to create an environment where therapy feels more like a supportive, open conversation than a clinical, psychoanalytic session. My typical process is built around fostering a warm and welcoming space where clients feel safe and comfortable to share their thoughts, feelings, and experiences freely. In each session, I prioritize listening actively and empathically. I encourage clients to speak openly, just as they would with a trusted friend. This helps build a strong rapport and ensures that the space feels personal and genuine. I’m not focused on analyzing them from a clinical standpoint, but rather on understanding their perspective and offering a compassionate ear. Together, we explore whatever is most pressing for the client—whether that’s something immediate or a deeper issue that has been on their mind for a while. I might ask open-ended questions to help them reflect or gain clarity, but the focus is always on the client’s experience. I offer feedback when it feels appropriate, but it’s always in a way that feels collaborative and non-judgmental. Ultimately, my goal is to empower clients to feel understood, supported, and confident in exploring whatever they need to. The process is flexible, depending on what the client wants to discuss, and I ensure that they leave each session feeling heard and respected.
