Getting to know Trevar Weight
Trevar is a board-certified psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner (PMHNP-BC), focusing his practice on serving patients of all ages with psychiatric needs. He emphasizes a holistic approach and views medicine as a support when needed to healthy lifestyle choices and overall well being. Trevar believes strongly in accomplishing small daily accomplishments that push us towards overall success. He offers a comprehensive approach of psychopharmacological interventions, psychotherapeutic interventions (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy) and evidenced-based practices emphasizing habits that improve one's quality of life including sleep, exercise, human connections and moving towards a goal.
In his free time Trevar enjoys spending time with his wife and 3 children. He and his family love the outdoors and will find him boating in the summer, wakeboarding and skiing in the winter. He also enjoys weight lifting, running, mountain biking and video games.
What should a new client know about working with you?
I am a believer in addressing root problems and making the necessary lifestyle and behavior changes to improve imbalances so my clients can live a meaningful life!
What is your typical process for working with clients?
My first appointment with you will be a 90-minute comprehensive bio-psycho-social-spiritual evaluation so I can get to know you and understand the contributors to your mental health concerns. We will also discuss your symptoms and goals. With all the information we will develop a holistic, evidence-based, patient-centered treatment plan that will help you accomplish your goals and live a meaningful life.
Your follow-up appointments will generally be 30 minutes. In these appointments we'll evaluate how the treatment plan is going, make adjustments when necessary, and use evidence-based treatments to help you accomplish your goals and live a meaningful life.

Loved the experience my family and I have received working with Trevar. He helped a family member get some medications that she needed. He was great to talk to, and we had a great follow-up to see how she was reacting to the meds to make any necessary tweaks.
