Getting to know Trisha Berbick-Stewart

I am a board-certified psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner (PMHNP-BC) passionate about providing quality, compassionate, and comprehensive mental health services to adults, geriatric, and addictions populations. I possess strong clinical skills enhanced by a natural ability to build rapport with patients and families. I follow evidence-based guidelines blended with clinical experience, personal observation, and intuition. I graduated with my master's degree in nursing from Walden University in 2021 and hold an associate degree from Broward College. I am excited to work in my local community. Originally from Canada, I currently live in Florida with my husband and kids. I bring more than 17 years of nursing experience working in a variety of settings, including acute hospitals, nursing homes, and state psychiatric facilities. I have dedicated much of my career to working with individuals with depression, anxiety, PTSD, bipolar disorder, and addictions.

This was the worst experience I’ve ever had. There was nothing but miscommunication and lack of accountability and honesty. To start, the receptionist, Connie, claimed she told me I would be meeting with a different provider, but she didn’t. Two days later I received a ridiculous amount of texts and phone calls saying I needed to confirm my appointment for that evening. Of course when I called back the receptionist tried to tell me I had an appointment when I never rescheduled. She only communicated with me via phone (only 2 phone calls) and several texts, then ironically messaged me in the portal about my appointment. I explained my dissatisfaction and disappointment because psychiatric care is serious and needs to be addressed as such; suggesting I meet with a provider on my lunch break (twice) is not professional nor conducive. I strongly suggest to not book any appointments or have anything with this office as they are not up to par and clearly don’t take mental health seriously.
