Because we accept insurance, we can reduce out-of-pocket expenses and still offer high-quality care. You may not have any cost related to your visit with us, depending upon your insurance plan. Most patients pay a small copay per visit, subject to any deductible or coinsurance that your health plan has. The Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services determines appropriate billing guidelines. These guidelines depend on the length of the visit and the complexity and severity of your diagnosis. For this reason, we need to wait until after the visit for the final determination. We then submit the claim to your insurance company. The charges are calculated based upon pre-negotiated prices with your insurance company. Your insurance company will then determine what amount, if any, is your responsibility per your insurance plan.

Dr. Wong is about the same as any other Talkiatry doctor. They have a set script, and he will just repeat the questionnaire that you do fill out before the appointment, so you really only talk to him for about ten minutes. You cover almost no ground per session. It's just a way of extracting money from people without actually providing substantial service.
