Getting to know Dr. Tyanne Van

I am a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) and Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-BC) who is deeply committed to promoting not just mental health, but overall mental and physical wellness. I believe that the mind is intricately connected to our physical health, spirituality, and psychosocial experiences—and true healing comes from addressing the whole person, not just the symptoms. My unique dual certification allows me to approach mental health with a deep understanding of both psychiatric and physical health, offering holistic care to my clients with compassionate and individualized care. At Brain Mind Body Mental Health, I provide compassionate, evidence-based care for individuals navigating a wide range of mental health challenges. Whether you're struggling with anxiety, depression, ADHD, trauma, or mood disorders, I’m here to help you find balance, clarity, and resilience. With a dual certification as a family and psychiatric nurse practitioner, I take a holistic approach—addressing how physical health, lifestyle, and emotional well-being impact mental health and healing. I work with children, adolescents, and adults, blending medical expertise with a deep understanding of emotional and behavioral health. My background allows me to provide high-quality care rooted in empathy, respect, and cultural sensitivity. Whether you're taking your first step or continuing your journey, you don’t have to face it alone—I’m here for you.

What should a new client know about working with you?

My approach to therapy: In my practice, I work collaboratively with clients who are ready to take an active role in their wellness journey. I support those who are not only looking to manage mental health symptoms but also seeking to optimize their emotional well-being, resilience, and quality of life. When appropriate, I also help clients explore ways to reduce or safely discontinue medications, alongside building sustainable coping strategies. I utilize a variety of treatment modalities, including medication management, supportive therapy, lifestyle interventions, and holistic approaches with mind-body strategies. My areas of focus include anxiety, depression, ADHD, PTSD, mood disorders, stress-related conditions, and more. My approach combines evidence-based medication management with supportive therapy, lifestyle interventions, and a collaborative treatment plan tailored to your needs.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

What you can expect from me: My goal is to create a safe, supportive, and non-judgmental space where you feel empowered, heard, and understood. My Initial Psychiatric Intake with you will last about 1 hour. Together, we will develop a personalized treatment plan that aligns with your goals and values—helping you move beyond surviving to truly thriving.
