About Tyler Nielsen
Tyler Nielsen is a certified Family Nurse Practitioner through the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners. He is passionate about preventative care and the importance of establishing a trusting, collaborative relationship with his patients while delivering high-quality care personalized for each individual. He is dedicated to building long-lasting and trusting relationships with all of his patients and believes every patient deserves to be treated with dignity and respect.
Tyler is originally from a small town in Northwest Iowa. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from the University of Southern Mississippi in Hattiesburg, Mississippi. He then obtained a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Briar Cliff University in Sioux City, Iowa, followed by a Master of Science in Family Health Nursing from Morningside University in Sioux City, Iowa, where he graduated at the top of his class.
Tyler's nursing experience includes mental health, internal medicine, family practice, HIV prevention, and hormone therapy. He has a special interest in adult health, geriatrics, LGBTQ+ care-including reaffirming transgender therapy and PrEP-and hormone therapy.
In his spare time, Tyler enjoys traveling and exploring new destinations with his two Australian Shepherds, Bailey and Harper.
