Getting to know Dr. Tyquitta Perrier
Dr. TyQuitta “Ty” Perrier is the visionary behind Livality Integrated Health, supported by over 15 years experience in healthcare. She holds a Doctorate of Nursing Practice (DNP) from Yale University, with a focus on Healthcare Leadership, Systems and Policy. She has a Master’s of Science in Nursing (MSN) from Troy State University as a Family Nurse Practitioner, and obtained Post-Master’s Certification from Georgia Southern University, as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP). Dr. Perrier obtained a Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing (BSN) from Albany State University. She is a triple board-certified nurse practitioner, with certifications in Psychiatric Mental Health, Addictions, as well as in Family Medicine.
Dr. Perrier has always had a keen interest for mental health and mental health advocacy. Known for her personable, calm demeanor, she has focused on delivering holistic care, recognizing the complex interplay between physical and mental health wellness. She is dedicated to improving access to comprehensive, innovative and quality care service, and remains passionate about the care of vulnerable and underserved populations.
She hails from a military background (parents and spouse!) and is a former United States Public Health Service (USPHS) Commissioned Corps Officer, serving under the Surgeon General, and has served in a multitude of diverse leadership and clinical roles. She has worked in inpatient and outpatient care areas, in both military and civilian settings. She has also served as Sexual Assault Medical Forensic Examiner, and has significant experience in Women’s Health, Psychiatry, Family/Community Health, and Education amongst others. She has chosen to specialize in Women’s Mental health due to a dire need for comprehensive care in this area. Her research interests include military and veteran healthcare, minority mental health disparities, vulnerable population healthcare, and advocating for policy changes in these areas.
What should a new client know about working with you?
I utilize a very down- to earth, humanistic approach in care. I aim to meet clients where they are and collaborate mutually on health goals and treatment.
