About Dr. Uma Chintapalli
Dr. Uma Chintapalli graduated from Rangaraya Medical College in India in 1990. She completed her residency at St. Joseph’s Medical Center in Paterson, New Jersey – a Mt. Sinai affilitated hospital. She is board certified in Internal Medicine, and has extensive experience in Emergency Medicine.
Dr. Chintapalli believes that medicine is an art. As such she believes in practicing medicine to provide a higher quality of care, not just to sustain a business. She believes that medicine should be available to all that need it, at affordable prices, with minimal waiting time and inconvenience to the patient. She believes in fairness, honesty, and integrity, in both her personal and professional life.
She lives in Plano, with her husband, Chandra, also an ER physician, who is also a Board Certified Internist, and their three children. In her spare time, Dr. Chintapalli enjoys travelling, learning new cultures, reading, and is currently pursuing her executive MBA at UTD. She is an active member of Toastmasters International.

It was a pretty average visit except after I filled out my initial questionnaire the doctor came in and asked me every question on it. Then when we got to the family history portion (which I filled out) she asked about my dad’s and before I could answer she asked if I even knew who he was…….. however she would’ve read that he’s deceased if she taken a moment. Even if she didn’t have time she should’ve allowed me to answer the question. It was just rude, disrespectful, and unprofessional. I won’t be back.

1. I was instructed to access the Patient portal via email as I waited for the doctor. Prior to that, I had just completed the initial consultation with a nurse assistant. Upon logging into the patient portal, I was taken aback to find medications prescribed by the doctor without even having seen me. The doctor arrived 10 minutes later. It was puzzling how medication could be prescribed without a physical examination, solely based on information provided by associates.
