Dr. Mahmood completed medical school at Midwestern University – Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine. He then underwent his residency training at NYU Langone Medical School, ranked as one of the top 10 residency programs in the nation. After completing his residency, he then completed his fellowship training in pain medicine at New England Baptist Hospital, a teaching affiliate of Tufts University School of Medicine. Throughout the years of his career, Dr. Mahmood has taken every opportunity to advance the field of interventional pain medicine. He continues to lecture at various national conferences, teach advanced therapies to fellows, as well as serve on the advisory board for several medical device companies. He continues to strive to learn the newest and innovative therapies so that he can provide his patients with the best pain care. By evaluating the patient history, physical examination, and imaging studies, Dr. Mahmood provides expert diagnosis and offers personalized, evidence-based approach to treating pain conditions. In his spare time, Dr. Mahmood enjoys travelling and spending time with family and friends. He has also taken on a new hobby of golf and enjoys trying to perfect his golf game on the course. He also enjoys spending time with his dog, Leo, who follows him sometimes at the office, serving as an emotional support dog for his patients.
