About Dr. Valerie Gershenhorn
Dr. Valerie Gershenhorn has always believed in an integrative approach to healing. This is why she attended the New York Institute of Technology, New York College of Osteopathic Medicine, where she earned her Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree and graduated in the top 5% of her class. Dr. Gershenhorn then completed an internal medicine residency at Mount Sinai Beth Israel in New York, where she became chief resident. After staying on for a chief residency year, she became board certified in internal medicine. She went on to complete her dermatology residency at Lehigh Valley Hospital. Since 2006, Dr. Gershenhorn has been practicing dermatology and feels aligned with integrative dermatology because she believes the skin is truly a "check engine light" for what is happening within the body. Her approach with patients always involves their internal health and well-being. Following her passion, Dr. Gershenhorn completed Dr. Andrew Weil's Integrative Medicine program in 2020.
It is Dr. Gershenhorn's honor to listen to and work with each patient to find the most optimal treatments. Her mission is to teach others how to become active participants in their health journey and provide them with a blueprint for healing of the mind, body, and spirit.
In her free time, Dr. Gershenhorn enjoys traveling and hiking with her husband and children.

Great manners, by a knowledgeable Doctor, very pleasant and helpful - was seen quickly. Laser removal is not offered here. The front office staff was mocking and seriously talking ill of a visiting pharmaceutical rep’s accent or voice - very loud unprofessional locker room talk in a reception area, not cool.

My teen son and I both had first-time appointments. The receptionist was kind and very helpful. Most importantly, Dr. Gershenhorn was kind and thorough. She took her time explaining her findings AND repeated asked if either of us had any additional questions. We didn’t feel rushed and truly felt seen. Dr. Gershenhorn will surely be seeing my entire family of 6 for anything dermatology related!

Dr. Gershenhorn is incredible. She really took her time and was super thorough in my annual full body scan. She answered all of my questions, addressed very concern and came up with treatment plans for each one. She went above and talked about diet etc to get to the bottom of my recent skin problems. I also take my 3 year old to her which she asked how she was and for recent photos of her and my newborn. I was going to take her in for a skin condition and needing to refill her cream and she just refilled it without me having to come back with my daughter. You really don't get service like this anymore. Highly recommend!

Valerie Gershenhorn, DO was very nice and had good bed side manners. She was kind and understanding and knew exactly what needed to be done. You can tell the nurses were new and just getting some experience, so you need to be a bit patient. Overall, I'm glad I went here.

She was caring & thoroughly explained everything she was viewing & reporting!
Biopsy done on a mole, which I’ve been upset about for a long time! Comforting to hear she’s not that to concerned. Offered a Body scan that was also clear. “You just have a lot of moles, where you should be scanned once a year”.

Doctor Gershenhorn was so friendly and explained everything very thoroughly. The staff was super polite. The waiting room is extremely clean and welcoming. The individual screening rooms have lots of windows and natural light. The doctor did a biopsy on something I was concerned about the same day. As someone who has great difficulty making doctor's appointments, this was a win.
