Dr. Valerie Revolus, DNP, PMHNP-BC, PMH-C is a Board-Certified Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner with over 12 years of nursing experience and advanced expertise in women’s reproductive mental health. She earned her Master’s degree in Psychiatric Mental Health Nursing from Hunter College (CUNY) and holds bachelor’s degrees from Stony Brook University and Long Island University. She later completed her Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP), further strengthening her clinical and leadership foundation.
Dr. Revolus specializes in the treatment of women across the reproductive lifespan. Her focus includes preconception counseling, fertility-related stress, pregnancy and postpartum mood disorders, PMDD, perimenopausal mood changes, and hormone-related mental health concerns. She also treats depression, anxiety disorders, bipolar disorder, OCD, ADHD, and trauma-related conditions.
Her approach integrates psychotherapy, psychopharmacology, and evidence-based care tailored to each patient’s unique experience. She believes mental health care should be both clinically sound and culturally sensitive, especially for women navigating identity shifts, career demands, motherhood, and life transitions.
Dr. Revolus is passionate about normalizing conversations around mental health in communities where it has historically been stigmatized. She is committed to creating a safe, affirming, and collaborative space where patients feel seen, heard, and empowered in their healing journey.

Valerie was pleasant but also somewhat cold which is nerve wracking when you’re already nervous meeting a new provider, especially over Telehealth. The visit also felt more like an interrogation rather than an intake. It didn’t feel like she was trying to get to know me as a person—more like she just wanted the facts so she could note them. It was a bit impersonal.
