Getting to know Dr. Verlyn Glenn

At Citadel Integrative Psychiatry, my goal is to be a true partner with you in your mental health journey. I promise to be transparent and ensure you make informed decisions about your care. I will spend the time necessary to identify the root causes that jeopardize your mental health and provide evidence-based options for you to choose from, offering expert guidance to help you heal. No gimmicks, no secrets-just honest, clean medicine to restore your well-being. I hold a Doctor of Nursing Practice degree from Idaho State University, which equips me with advanced knowledge and skills to support your mental health with the highest standard of care. In addition, we offer Spravato (esketamine) treatment for adults experiencing treatment resistant depression. Patients interested in this option can schedule a new patient appointment to determine if it is a good fit.

What should a new client know about working with you?

Treatment will focus on finding a root cause and supporting your bodies' innate healing mechanisms. I use an integrative approach that draws from ancient wisdom as well as modern medicine to heal the whole body, mind and spirit.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

After the initial consult to determine if integrative treatment is right for you, we will schedule an appointment. At this appointment, I will spend time getting to know you, your health history, social history and your health goals. I will complete a thorough psychiatric assessment with the goal of identifying anything that could be driving your symptoms. I will then work with you to create a customized care plan that is realistic and in line with your health goals. We will consider functional and traditional labs, nutrition, sleep hygiene, stabilizing medication and/or natural supplements. We will discuss a realistic exercise plan that you can easily incorporate into your lifestyle. At the end of this appointment, I will spend some time making sure you are informed, onboard with the plan and encourage you to adhere to it. At a follow-up appointment, usually 1 week to 10 days later we will discuss any laboratory results and make any adjustments needed to your care plan. At this visit we will also begin focused psychotherapy and/or coaching. After this visit we may switch to monthly or biweekly visits as we continue to optimize your care. After 1 year without symptoms, you are usually considered to be on a stable course
