What should a new client know about working with you?

I provide compassionate, evidence-based psychiatric care in a collaborative and non-judgmental environment. My approach is patient-centered and focused on understanding each individual’s unique history, concerns, and goals. Appointments are conducted via secure telehealth and emphasize open communication, education, and shared decision-making. I strive to create a supportive space where clients feel heard, respected, and actively involved in their treatment.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

The initial appointment is a comprehensive psychiatric evaluation focused on understanding symptoms, medical history, substance use history, and treatment goals. For patients seeking Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT), this visit is used to determine clinical appropriateness and to develop an individualized treatment plan. When MAT is initiated, follow-up visits are typically scheduled more frequently at the beginning of treatment to support safety, stabilization, and engagement. This often includes an early follow-up within the first few weeks, with visits transitioning to monthly intervals as clinically appropriate. As part of evidence-based and safety-focused MAT care, treatment may include periodic urine drug screening and other monitoring tools. These measures are used to support safe prescribing, assess treatment progress, and guide clinical decision-making. Visit frequency and monitoring are individualized based on clinical needs and response to treatment.

More information on payments and coverage

This practice currently operates on a self-pay basis. Payment is required prior to services and is processed securely through the patient portal. A valid payment method is required to be kept on file. For patients receiving Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT), care typically begins with an initial evaluation, followed by a follow-up visit within approximately two weeks. Ongoing visits are generally scheduled monthly once treatment is stabilized, though visit frequency may vary based on clinical needs. As part of evidence-based and safety-focused MAT care, periodic urine drug screening may be required. These screenings are used to support safe prescribing and treatment planning and are discussed during care. Treatment recommendations, visit frequency, and monitoring requirements are individualized and determined collaboratively based on clinical assessment and safety considerations
