Getting to know Veronica Kamau
I am a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner from Walden University. I provide holistic and person-centered treatments to adults aged 18 and above. My goal is to work with you discuss your concerns that affect your mental health and overall well-being. Being an immigrant, I understand that some clients face cultural stigma surrounding mental illness and may be reluctant to talk about it. However, I believe you matter, and I care about you. I am here to support you find solutions to your stressors and help you live the life your desire.
What should a new client know about working with you?
My goal is to listen to you in a nonjudgemental environment and together we explore the cause of your distress and provide treatment that will help you live the life you have always desired. I hope to build a trusting and long-lasting relationship with you. Together, we will explore sustainable solutions to issues affecting your health and wellness.
What is your typical process for working with clients?
Sessions include initial evaluating where we assess the source of your stressors, physical, emotional, or psychosocial factors that could be affecting your mental health, assessing symptoms, formulating a diagnosis, and discussing treatment options including medication, therapy,nutrition, life style modification and supplements.
