What should a new client know about working with you?

Clients can expect a respectful, confidential, and nonjudgmental environment where their concerns are heard and taken seriously. I understand that mental health challenges may affect emotional well-being, relationships, employment, physical health, and daily functioning. I work collaboratively with each client to develop a practical treatment plan that may include medication management, psychotherapy, lifestyle recommendations, coping strategies, and coordination with other healthcare professionals. My goal is to help clients feel supported, informed, and actively involved in their care.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

The process begins with a comprehensive psychiatric evaluation that includes the client’s current symptoms, medical and psychiatric history, medications, family history, social circumstances, strengths, and treatment goals. After discussing possible diagnoses and treatment options, we develop an individualized care plan together. Follow-up appointments are used to evaluate progress, monitor medication effectiveness and side effects, provide therapeutic support, address safety concerns, and adjust the treatment plan when necessary. I also collaborate with therapists, primary care providers, specialists, and family members—with the client’s permission—to promote coordinated and holistic care.
