About Dr. Victor Casanova
"I became interested in chiropractic when I, myself, suffered various sports injuries in my youth. I wanted to understand and naturally heal my own body. I made chiropractic, alternative medicine, and corrective exercises the main sources of my healthy lifestyle. I improved greatly and want to share that great feeling with all my patients." – Dr. Victor Casanova.
Dr. Victor Casanova grew up in San Juan, Puerto Rico, playing sports like running, bicycling, baseball, and beach volleyball. At 16, he began studies at Purdue University in Indiana, earning a Bachelor of Science in Accounting. He worked for several Fortune 500 companies until the 9/11 attack.
During 9/11, he injured his lower back and suffered constant pain. His primary doctor prescribed painkillers without improvement. Seeking a solution, he discovered natural medicine and chiropractic, which improved his quality of life and alleviated neck and shoulder pain he had since childhood.
Dr. Casanova traveled to the Far East to learn about natural medicine, Chinese herbs, and meditation while studying chiropractic care. He earned his Doctor of Chiropractic Medicine degree from the University of Bridgeport Chiropractic College. He completed his rotation at the Community Health Center in Connecticut, working with patients suffering from chronic pain syndrome, drug abuse, headaches, neck and shoulder pain, carpal tunnel, joint dysfunction, herniated discs, sciatica, piriformis syndrome, multiple myeloma, and more. These experiences deepened his compassion for patients.
He is passionate about helping individuals achieve a healthy lifestyle without painkillers or invasive procedures. He pursues ongoing education in nutrition, meditation, and home exercises to better educate patients.
Chiropractic supports the body’s ability to heal without surgery or medication. He uses techniques like extremity adjusting, soft tissue methods, and therapeutic exercise rehabilitation to resolve pain.
