About Dr. Victor Catania
Victor Catania, MD, MBA, CPE, FAAFP, is a family medicine physician with Atlantic Health. Board-certified in family medicine by the American Board of Family Medicine, he is trained to meet the health needs of children and adults, with expertise in performing physicals, giving vaccines, and treating diabetes, obesity, hypertension, among other conditions. He is dedicated to providing comprehensive, compassionate, personalized care to all patients, and making sure they are educated about their condition and treatment. He believes in a patient centered approach to medicine, working with patients in a team based approach to treat their medical conditions
After earning his medical degree from Medical University of the Americas in Nevis, Dr. Catania performed a residency in family medicine at Guthrie Robert Packer Hospital, Sayre, PA. Prior to joining Atlantic Health, he served as LVPG regional medical director and attending family medicine physician at Lehigh Vally Physician Group in East Stroudsburg, PA. He also obtained his Master of Business Administration with a focus on health care administration at Davenport University and has served as a teaching assistant at Medical University of the Americas, associate clinical instructor at SUNY Upstate Medical University, Syracuse, NY, associate clinical faculty at Geisinger Commonwealth School of Medicine, Scranton, PA, and clerkship director at Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine, Philadelphia, PA.
Dr. Catania has delivered numerous poster presentations and medical grand rounds and is a member of such relevant organizations as the American Academy of Family Physicians, American Association for Physician Leadership, American College of Healthcare Executives, Pennsylvania Academy of Family Physicians, and Society of Teachers of Family Medicine. He is a participating provider of the Atlantic Accountable Care Organization.
