“Victoria is by far the most amazing therapist I've ever had. Even our first brief intro call was so impactful, I knew immediately that I wanted to work with her. She continuously helps me to uncover patterns from my CPTSD & family trauma that have been hindering my daily life & overall wellbeing. She creates a beautiful balance between validating my feelings, while also challenging me to look at things thru a different lens. She's not afraid to tackle deep heavy topics that can come up during a session. Last year we'd only just begun working together, yet she seamlessly stepped in as an invaluable support beam during one of the most difficult, bereavement-filled & traumatic years of my life. Working with her has immensely improved my quality of life, even when I feel like a messy ball of chaos & despair, she shines a light on something that helps me grow. The world is a better place because of Victoria’s incredible depth & authenticity; I truly can't recommend her highly enough!”

“To think that I didn't even want to go talk to anyone, that I pushed back until I had hit a wall and words were barely coming out. And to think that Victoria accidentally came into my life, and now I can't imagine where I'd be without her in it. I admire the hell out of this woman. The way she hurls herself into any darkness I'm in, sits there with me until the light starts coming through. The way she pays attention, in a world in which we've all forgotten to do so. Her kindness, her humor when I need it. Her ability to talk to me in the only language that gets through to me - logic - as she helps me construct a different model of thinking, of being. I think of her as my chief structural engineer. She's reinforced who I am as a human being and I feel lighter, smarter, even kinder in her presence. In my favorites on my phone, I keep a photo she sent me when I headed on the hardest trip I've ever taken. I still look at it; it reminds me that I can do this. She's pure light. ”

Getting to know Victoria Alberini

Ten years ago, I left my job at Google to pursue a career I could wake up every morning genuinely looking forward to. As a sociology major in undergrad, I have always been passionate about relationships and how they shape our inner dialogue from childhood onward. I earned my Master’s in Marriage and Family Therapy from Alliant International University, which deepened my understanding of family dynamics and therapeutic approaches. As a therapist, I have unprecedented access to the inner workings of my patients' psyche, and I feel privileged to bear witness to it. I specialize in working with professionals seeking better coping strategies to manage day-to-day stress and negative emotions. I work heavily with the concept of attachment, revisiting your early years to understand the subtle and more acute forms of trauma or dysfunction that influenced your development. In doing so, I glean insights about your attachment style, coping strengths, and general self-talk. From there, we identify themes and bridges to how you handle relationships in the present. Rather than simply providing band-aids such as meditations, homework, and breathing exercises, I strive to get at the root problem so we can more efficiently and effectively help you feel in command of your relationships and key decisions about your future.

What should a new client know about working with you?

I work a lot with visual metaphors and imagery, as I find that it can make complex psychological concepts more easy to digest, retain, and put into practice. If you're a visual learner, my approach should resonate well. I am a bit more directive than your typical therapist, knowing that my patients do not have hours to wander aimlessly in their therapist's office. If I notice a pattern, have an observation, or spot a theme that others would have a hard time telling you directly, I will kindly and warmly point it out to you. This can be a new experience for folks, as our social norms discourage radical transparency. My goal is to help you feel trusting enough of me to let me in, let me witness the most authentic form of you, and warmly place a figurative mirror up for you to see him or her for yourself. This allows us to launch more quickly so we can get to the heart of your concerns more efficiently and thoroughly.

Victoria is a next-leveler. She’s the greatest therapist I’ve ever worked with, I tell EVERYONE I can about her, I’ve referred several friends to her, and I am so appreciative to be in her roster. Victoria and I have worked together for nearly 2 years at this writing, and she’s been the greatest source of help for me. She’s supported me through some of the most challenging experiences in my life to-date. She’s helped me grow as a human to deal with parts of myself I’ve been afraid of or uncomfortable with. And, she’s helped me create new frameworks that I use to better show up for myself in my personal relationships as well as in my big tech career. Victoria is capable, kind, curious, and skilled enough to support transformative unlocks in a person’s life that allow them to have an improved and empowered worldview, a kinder relationship with self, and a deeply founded and strong backbone to weather life’s challenges with. I’m forever grateful to her and highly recommend you try, too.
Victoria is a special soul. She has a way of not only making you feel heard and understood, but also incredibly safe in her company. I leave her feeling more grounded and feeling like I should be easier on myself. I'm more optimistic about myself, my future, and my relationships. As I said, she is special and you understand that from the very first session.
My session with Victoria was incredibly moving. She really has such a keen sense of emotional intelligence and knows how to ask the right questions to get to the heart of the matter you're struggling with. Her bedside manner is gentle and understanding, but she also knows how to guide you to a deeper sense of self and awareness. I would happily recommend her to everyone I know.
Victoria instantly put me at ease from the moment we met. She is incredibly thoughtful and a wonderful listener. Could not believe how impactful our first meeting was. Walked away feeling empowered and supported. Would highly recommend.
Victoria is one of the most thoughtful and compassionate human beings. She is one of the first people I turn to when experiencing a personal challenge. Non-judgemental, comforting, solutions-oriented, enlightened, caring, and a wealth of professional experience -- all of the critical ingredients for a topnotch therapist. Highly recommend.
She is a great listener. I felt I found someone who understood me and would not judge me. She asked the right questions but was not pushing. I felt very comfortable and cared for.
I can't say enough good things about Victoria. She's empathetic, perceptive, wise, and cares deeply about her patients. She has helped me through a number of challenging personal situations and always shows up with patience, kindness, and curiosity. I would recommend her in heartbeat.
