Victoria Heck, PMHNP

Family Psychiatric & Mental Health Nurse Practitioner
FL
I am a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) who takes a holistic, patient-centered approach to mental health care. I believe lasting wellness comes from treating the whole person, not just symptoms, by addressing the connection between mind, body, and lifestyle. My practice combines evidence-based psychiatric treatment with integrative strategies, including nutrition, sleep optimization, stress management, and when appropriate, targeted supplementation. I work with adults, children, teens and seniors to manage conditions such as anxiety, depression, mood disorders, and burnout, while also supporting overall well-being and long-term resilience. I value building strong, collaborative relationships with my clients and take the time to truly listen. My goal is straightforward: help you feel better, function better, and regain control of your life with a treatment plan that actually fits you. In our first session together, here's what you can expect During your first session, we’ll take the time to get a full picture of what’s going on, not just your symptoms, but your overall health, lifestyle, and personal history. This is a comprehensive evaluation where I’ll ask about your mental health concerns, medical background, current medications, sleep, stress levels, and daily habits. You can expect a conversation, not an interrogation. My goal is to understand you as a whole person and what’s actually driving how you’re feeling. By the end of the session, we’ll begin forming a plan together. This may include treatment options such as therapy recommendations, lifestyle adjustments, and if appropriate, medication. I’ll walk you through the reasoning behind any recommendations so you feel informed and in control of your care. There’s no pressure to have everything figured out, just come as you are. This first step is about building clarity, trust, and a path forward that makes sense for you.

More information on payments and coverage

Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.
