Getting to know Victoria Jacoby

Hello all and welcome, Do you find it hard to show yourself self-love? Do you feel as if you are always filling others with an empty cup? Do you have trouble saying no, even when you are drained? Do you feel judged for wanting to improve your mental health? I empower people of all ages to focus more on themselves because, as humans, we need self-care and love. Let’s be honest, it is hard to turn these thoughts into actions. The biggest part of self-love is focusing on your mental health. We must stop giving from an empty cup and learn to care for our own needs, mentally and physically, before sharing ourselves with others. I am not here to prescribe “magic pills” to make your worries disappear. I am here to guide you to a better path to care for yourself in all aspects—whether medication assistance, therapist connections, a listening ear, or a shoulder to lean on. I am a dual-certified Family Nurse Practitioner and Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with 8 years as a nurse practitioner and 12 years as an RN. I earned my Master’s in Psychiatric Mental Health Nursing from Liberty University. I spent most of my career in primary care and mental health, with some surgical experience. I was drawn to mental health at a young age, as I struggled with my own mental health during my teenage years. Therapists and psychiatrists helped me tremendously in getting to where I am today. I remember feeling embarrassed and judged because of my mental health status. I promised myself to change this for myself and others. I am a strong LGBTQIA advocate and provide a safe space for this population. I love meeting new people and getting to the root cause of their struggles. I view the person as a whole and realize many stressors may cause you to feel certain ways. I provide both primary care and mental health services, and I strongly believe therapy and self-love are the greater parts of the equation.

What should a new client know about working with you?

I hope to provide you with a warm comfy experience. A non judgmental safe space. I want you to leave our visit feeling as though you have gained a fan that is rooting for you to be the best version of yourself you can be and that your existence on this earth is not to please everyone around you but to learn self worth and love before anything. While I do not provide specialized therapy, expect to work on grounding, mindfulness, and self care techniques in addition to your medication regimen.

More information on payments and coverage

Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.
