My approach to therapy is authentic, warm, collaborative, and person-centered. I provide a compassionate and accepting space where you can feel safe to explore your experiences and concerns, in the service of fostering personal growth, empowerment, and lasting relief. Every person’s psychological wellbeing is interwoven with environmental and social factors specific to their lives. In order to provide equitable, personalized care, I listen closely to understand the contexts, complexities, and unique histories of all of my clients. I apply an integrative framework, utilizing various evidenced-based psychotherapy models, including psychodynamic, cognitive-behavioral, and mindfulness-based approaches. Each client’s specific needs, goals, and preferences determine the approaches emphasized. I practice from a stance of cultural humility and have experience working with people from a wide range of backgrounds, including those within the LGBTQIA+ community. I work with my clients to address a variety of difficulties and concerns, including, but not limited to, anxiety, depression, relationship problems, family issues, trauma, conflicts of identity, and stress associated with transitional periods and the troubles of daily life. I received my PhD in Clinical Psychology from the City University of New York (CUNY) Graduate Center and my MA in Clinical Psychology from Queens College, CUNY. I’ve trained and worked at a host of settings throughout the New York City area including New York-Presbyterian Westchester, Memorial Sloan Kettering, and the CUNY Graduate Center’s Student Counseling Services. I completed my doctoral internship at the Institute of Living at Hartford Hospital.
