Detail oriented and a good listener. Neurological issues are complex so this is very important.
I went to some of the top specialists in the city but was left without a diagnosis of my condition. He was able to medically explain my symptoms and recommend some tests which can help with the diagnosis. Big step in the right direction.
He did a phenomenal job and I walked away with hope.

Every other doctor I have seen about a particular problem I have been struggling with lately was not able to provide any clarity. Dr. Patel was able to assess and provide a diagnosis within minutes of me describing the issues I had been dealing with. I am amazed by his intelligence and ability to calmly state the facts. Wonderful doctor! I had my very first appointment today with Dr.Vikas Patel. My daughter came with me, and she expressed some concerns of her own health and Dr. Patel was nice enough to help with suggestions. As far as what’s been going on with my own personal health, Dr. Patel was very nice and made me feel very hopeful. I appreciate how calm, kind and what a great listener he was to me. I did not feel rushed at all. I am so happy to have found a wonderful neurologist. To whoever is reading this, I highly recommend making your appointment with him!

Dr. Vikas Patel is a great doctor! He’s very understanding and listens to my concerns. He takes time with my medical history to help my health issues. He was treated me at Mount Sinai South Nassau Emergency room when I came here in critical condition with severe Stroke and half left side body dead but now after two weeks I feel 90% better and going to more fast recovery.
I highly recommend him to anyone looking for a specialist.

I was looking for a neurovascular doctor who could better help understand my dad's stroke he had 5 days prior. Dr Patel was easy to schedule with and took his time to examine my dad and his MRI/CT scans from a prior hospital stay. He offered to talk to any doctors we sought out to review my dad's case and also placed a follow up call with me on his prognosis. He was a good listener and gave me the best recommendations on how to proceed with my dad's care.

Dr. Vikas Patel is incredible. He is knowledgeable and took good care of me. In addition to treating and diagnosing my issue. He asked for extra blood work to monitor my general health and screen for other diseases that I am not even aware of.

There is no other word to describe Dr. Patel but awesome. He was very attentive, he listened to everything that I had to say and he explained things to me in great detail and in layman's terms. I left his orders with prescriptions and referrals for scans and with a sense of being cared for. He didn't make me feel like I was being dramatic or bothersome. His bedside manner is top notch. He comes highly recommended.
