About Dr. Vikas Shah
Family Medicine is a part of Family Medicine & Dentistry of East Brunswick. We provide primary medical and primary & cosmetic dental care under one roof.
Dr. Shah (also known as Dr. V) graduated from high school as Valedictorian and followed with completing his undergraduate degree and masters degree in Biomedical Engineering and Biomedical Sciences, respectively, at Rutgers University. He then attended New York Institute of Technology, College of Osteopathic Medicine and received his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine Degree. Dr. V. Shah completed his Family Medicine Residency at Christ Hospital in Jersey City, NJ and served as Chief Resident in his final year of training.
Since graduation, Dr. Shah has worked both in an outpatient (a private practice) and inpatient setting (Christ Hospital and Penn Medicine Princeton Medical Center). On the inpatient side, he works as a hospitalist as well as an educator to the medical residents training at Christ Hospital. He finally decided to leap forward and make his dreams come true, by opening an all in one Family Medicine & Dentistry practice alongside his wife, a Family Dentist, in their hometown, East Brunswick.
Dr. V loves medicine and treating his patients, but beyond that he enjoys making lasting connections. He listens and addresses all questions and concerns patients may have. In addition, he caters his care on an individual basis to provide the most beneficial treatment for the patient. If you decide to put your health in his hands, then you will soon witness the amount of care and passion he puts towards his work.
Dr. V is a family man, born and bred in New Jersey. He loves to spend time with his pregnant wife, son, and surrounding family. As well as enjoys trying new foods, exploring new places, and working on his cars in his free time.
